Paignton Road Open Space

Paignton Park is a local park providing welcome green space in a densely built-up area between Seven Sisters Road, St Ann’s Road and Amhurst Park.

At its centre is a large grassy area that can be used for informal ball games, surrounded by a perimeter path. To the east of this area is a woodland area that provides a habitat for a range of insects, birds and flowers.

Paignton Park has one of the largest playgrounds in Haringey. It was created about 10 years ago. The playground is extremely popular with local children and families. Next to the playground is a picnic area.

To the south of the park the area known as community square (by the Daleview Road entrance) - this features a specially commissioned entrance arch. Look closely for all the different leaves represented on the pillars. This area of the park also features three raised flower beds that the local community is encouraged to tend, an outdoor table tennis table and a chess board table with seats. More recently a small orchard was planted in the grassy area just to the south of community square.

At the northern end of the park is the Triangle Children, Young People and Community Centre, which provides a range of services and support to local people and families.
